The photo series Daybetter is an expression of a practice that explores empathy with other Asian people in Western countries: People who share the same experiences living and working in the West. They migrated for different reasons in search of a better life and have settled within the same gray areas. They opened the door for the artist to engage with each other's stories and the system of restricted and exploitative working conditions. The two parts of the series were created chronologically. The different artistic approaches are a way to find the right distance as a mediator of the history of others and as an artist to her own history - and to evoke individual memories.
